The Rove Central Correctional Centre (RCCC) Escort Unit today received new VHF Handheld & Earpiece from CSSI Communication Unit at the Correctional Service Headquarter.
RCCC Escort Unit Incharge Inspector Dorothy Siru says, the RCCC Escort Unit are responsible for the timely transport of prisoners in a safe and secure manner to courts, medical & dental appointments and any other external escort as approved by the Authority
She has optimistically acknowledge the support rendered to her team by the Commissioner Office through the Communication Unit for equiping his staffs with this new model of communication that ease the current situation always experienced during their external escorts operational duties.
Meanwhile Supervising Incharge CSSI Communication Unit Mr Robinson Au, reminds staffs on the importance of communications in the security enviroment and compliance to operational procedures to ensure your mandated roles and responsibilities are executed effectively and efficiently.
He encourage officers to be responsible and accountable for this devices as it cost more than SBD 30,000.00 and funded by the Solomon Islands Government under Correctional Service Solomon Islands.
