Govt declares Friday 27 a Special Public Holiday1 min read

The Solomon Islands Government through the Ministry of Home Affairs has declared Friday 27th, December 2019 a Special Public Holiday.

Christmas is observed on Wednesday 25th and Thursday 26th is the Thanks Giving Day.[sociallocker id=”1343″]

In a public notice issued today, the Ministry of Home Affairs says, “in exercise of the power conferred by Section 6 of the Public Holidays Act, the Hon. Minister of Home Affairs has appointed Friday 27th December 2019 as Special Public Holiday for Solomon Islands.

“This notice is served as an additional advice to the Public Notice No. 1/2019 for the National and Provincial Public Holidays 2020. “Friday 27th December 2019 will be also observed as a Special Public Holiday.” [/sociallocker]
