The Correctional Service Solomon Islands (CSSI) Commissioner Gabriel Manelusi has conducted an official visit at Tetere Correctional Centre (TCC) on 26 June 2020.
The official visit purposely to update TCC Managements, Staff and Inmates on the progressions and Executive Management support to the Centre.
Commissioner Manelusi when delivering his short presentation to all Convict inmates at TCC. He encourage them that I come with greetings from the Government, Churches, Traditional Leaders, CSSI families and People of Solomon Islands with their support and prayers for inmates resided in our Centres across Solomon Islands.
“I thank God for gracing us, brother inmates and my TCC staff, since the beginning of 2020 the world been faced with COVID-19 and our country is still free from this global pandemic and we thank God for that.
God’s mission is to save the world and he did not send HIS son into this world to condemn the world but to save the world through HIM, rescue, heal and preserve the world. You and I must believe, trust confidence, commit to follow Jesus”, says Manelusi.
Manelusi highlighted a lot of important aspects for the organisation in terms of Infrastructure Developments, Human Resources Capacity Developments, Government priorities, Staff Discipline, Parole Board updates, Inmates Rehabilitation Programs update and the organization COVID-19 strategies and combat focuses
He adds, your mission and my mission is to heal the heart and heal our mind before we can change our country. We need to change first in our life before we can change others. He encourage all Convict Inmates of TCC to be patient and respect the law, respect the Correctional Centres properties, respect our Correctional Officers and respect each other as we progress together for the future of this organization, God bless you and God bless our Nation, Solomon Islands.
During this official visit Commissioner Manelusi also meet with staff husbands and spouses purposely to acknowledge them in their prayers and supports in the organization.
“Spouses and husbands of my good officers as we are in the transition to help my officers to progress and grow on the future of our CSSI family. I want to register in your presence the manner and patience you have rendered towards my officers to wards duties, which symbolize the connection of God divine mercy and love to us and thank God for gracing us”, says Manelusi.
Meanwhile Commandant TCC and his Management do acknowledge and thank the Commissioner and his Executives for the tremendous visit.
TCC will continue to strive to achieve its obligations despite challenges faced and will continue to improve, strengthen and implement positive changes as we progress the future of our organization, said TCC Supervising Commandant Mr Charles Nolley.
