Auki police will not tolerate crime in West Kwaio1 min read

Supervising Provincial Police Commander (PPC) Malaita Province, Superintendent William Foufaka has called on the people of West Kwaio constituency to work closely with police to reduce crime in the area.

Speaking at Bina in West Kwaio over the weekend, Mr Foufaka said his priority is about peace and harmony to prevail in all communities.

“West Kwaio has recorded a crime trend of serious nature as attempted murder, unlawful wounding and other crimes.

“There are five (5) serious cases recorded in the region and all these happened because of kwaso and marijuana driven incidents.

Foufaka warned that police will not tolerate crime incidents in West Kwaio and will take serious actions on reported cases.

“I am concern about peace and harmony in our communities. That is my number one priority,” Foufaka said.

“I do not want to receive any other incidents from Afutara to Bina and the whole of West Kwaio region.

 “Today I called on you my good people to work along with the police, chiefs and church leaders so that we ensure that environment in our communities are free and enjoyable to live in,” he said. Auki police were presented during a handing over ceremony by Honourable Titus Fika and West Kwaio constituents at Bina, Malaita Province.
